K9CCZ, Jerry - Tuesday                                                                                           

                CDR J.R. Turner, CHC, USN, (Ret) located in Poulsbo, Washington is the Northern Manager for Alt Communication System for the Alt Communication System for the Dept of Emergency Management.

 Jerry is a Roman Catholic priest and retired Navy chaplain from the Diocese of Madison, WI.

Jerry is President of the Military Officers Association of America, Kitsap Chapter, and is the Docent at the Naval Undersea Museum in Keyport, Washington. Jerry is past president of the North Kitsap Amateur Radio Club.

First licensed in 1956 with an extra-class license, Jerry also served as 7J6CAN, KA7CZ, KA5CZ and KC2CZ while stationed in Japan and Okinawa.

To put that big signal out for the duties of net control, Jerry uses Yaesu FT-2000  driving an Ameritron AL-80B into an MP-33 beam at about 46'. But he has a trick... his house is perched on a 360' high hill!

Jerry has a Drake TR-7 as back up rig and when mobile he uses a Yaesu FT-857D and the ATOS 120.
